Rules at a glance
- Cards: two decks, 108 cards, 27 each. You and the player opposite are partners. Whoever runs out of cards first finishes first.
- Ranking: 2 < 3 < … < K < A < level card < small joker < big joker. Whatever level is being played, that rank is the level card.
- Wild cards: the heart level card (gold border) can stand in for any card except a joker.
- Combinations: single, pair, triple, full house, straight (exactly 5 cards), tube (three consecutive pairs, e.g. 334455) and plate (two consecutive triples, e.g. 333444). In a straight the ace can be low, and the level card sits at its natural rank.
- Bombs: four or more of a kind. 4-bomb < 5-bomb < straight flush < 6-bomb < … < all four jokers. A bomb beats any non-bomb.
- Passing the lead: if a player goes out and nobody beats their last play, their partner leads the next trick.
- Levelling up: the first finisher's team goes up: 3 levels if their partner is second, 2 if third, 1 if last.
- Tribute: next round the last-place player gives their highest card (wilds excepted) to the winner, who returns a card of 10 or lower. If one team finished first and second, both losers pay. Holding both big jokers cancels the tribute.
- Arranging: select two or more cards that form a combination and press “Arrange”: they move to their own row below, and tapping any one of them selects the whole group. Select a group and press “Ungroup”, or press “Reset” with nothing selected.
- Winning: after reaching A, win one more round with your partner not finishing last. Fail three times at A and your team drops back to 2.
